A Floating Bowling Ball? (Density)
My 11-pound bowling ball will actually float in water. I use this as an illustration that a heavy object is NOT necessarily a dense object. My daughter Kristine and I measured 12 balls and found that those that were 11.9 pounds and greater sank in water and those that were 11.1 pounds and lighter floated in water.
